Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

hilens.ai is a pay-per-credit AI image and video generation service operated by the hilens.ai team (the "Company", "we", "us"). Contact: support@hilens.ai. hilens.ai is unrelated to Huawei HiLens.

2. What we collect

Account data — email, hashed password, locale, timezone.
Billing data — handled by Stripe and supported payment processors. We do not store full card numbers.
Generation inputs — text prompts, uploaded reference images, model choice, parameters.
Generation outputs — images and videos produced on your behalf.
Usage data — credit consumption, generation counts, model success/failure metrics.
Technical data — IP address, user-agent, page-load and web-vitals metrics (LCP/INP/CLS) sent to Google Analytics 4 if configured.

3. How we use it

Operate the service: route prompts to the requested model, return outputs, debit credits.
Bill and refund: process credit pack purchases, handle 7-day refund requests on unused packs.
Improve reliability: aggregate uptime/latency metrics, debug failed generations.
Protect the service: detect abuse, fraud, and Acceptable Use violations.
Communicate: send transactional emails (receipts, refund confirmations, security alerts). Marketing emails are opt-in only.

We do not use your prompts or outputs to train models. Your generation content is retained for delivery and the duration needed for billing reconciliation, then is subject to deletion on the schedule below.

4. Sharing

We share data with processors who help us operate the service, under contract and limited to the data they need:

Stripe / Alipay / WeChat Pay — payment processing.
Google Analytics 4 — anonymized traffic and Core Web Vitals.
Model providers — when you generate with a specific third-party-hosted model, the prompt is forwarded to that provider under their no-training agreement.
Cloud hosting — generation outputs are stored on the Company's CDN.

We do not sell personal data. We disclose data to authorities only when legally required.

5. Retention

Account data: retained while your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion.
Generation prompts and outputs: retained for 90 days, after which they are deleted unless you have explicitly saved them to your library.
Billing records: retained for 7 years to meet tax and audit obligations.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR / CCPA / PIPL), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent. Email privacy@hilens.ai with the request and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication, session state, and theme persistence (hilens-theme). If Google Analytics 4 is configured, GA cookies (_ga) are set per Google's policy. No cross-site tracking cookies are set by hilens.ai.

8. Children

hilens.ai is not intended for users under 13. If we learn we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

9. Changes

We will update this policy as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent material change. Continued use of hilens.ai after the date constitutes acceptance.
